The real key to success with online marketing, as with any off line business for that matter, is simply to do the things that work over and over again, and to stop doing things that don’t work.  Could it be any simpler?  So why do so many online marketers fail to make any serious money?

The answer is that we tend to veer from our plan way too soon.  An email drops in to our mail box promoting an ebook or course that promises to make you $50,000 in 7 days, and we feel compelled to buy it, because you never know, it just might work!

Yet none of the strategies we buy seem to make us the millions we crave.  So are they all junk?

Some are absolute garbage, but many are excellent.  Yet the excellent ones don’t make us rich because before we have given them a decent chance of success, we switch to another strategy!

Think of it this way, what is usually the shortest route to a destination?  It’s a straight line.By constantly changing our tactics, we are literally changing our direction all of the time instead of staying on the shortest path to success.

With online marketing it takes a lot of focus and discipline to stay on one strategy for any length of time, yet that is what you must do.

My resolution at the turn of the year was to stay discipined and focused on just one strategy that has been proven to work many times.It's not glamorous and its not overly quick, but it does deliver results.  5 months on and my earnings are $50 a day.  They would have been higher had I not took the first two months to get the process perfected.

All I’m doing is focusing on keyword research, article marketing and link building.  Do the keyword research, publish a keyword focused site, write articles, get links, rinse and repeat!  Over and over again.  It works.  It’s very basic, but it works over time.  As I build more sites and get more links to them, they earn more and more money.

Now, a couple of services in particular have allowed me to automate the content production and link building tasks, and as a result the number of high ranking sites I can produce quickly has gone through the roof, meaning that in the next two months I fully expect to be earning $200 a day.
